This unit will also fit and work fine on a '55. It has an indent on the bottom for the '56 choke assembly which is not needed on the '55 application, but it will work just fine. Same as 9600-56 except that there is no cork ring. Great for modified cars or hot rods that use the teapot carb, but do not want a TBird style air cleaner. American made. This unit uses a replaceable dry element instead of the original oil bath. Includes: polished stainless steel lid powder coated base assembly air cleaner element air cleaner to carburetor seal Features: stainless lid, durable powder coating.
