We do not recommend our original style belt which is a 40" belt. Please advise that a belt 1/2" to 1" longer will fit better.
Must take indicator light out of circuit - 6 volt only.
Winding is Delta. Amperage is 75-80. Starts charging as soon as car is started.
This is a Re-manufactured unit with a 2 year warranty. This unit is internally regulated.
You do not use the original regulator. However this kit uses the old regulator as a place to connect some wires.
Removing the generator bracket requires removing a bolt that goes into the coolant system. Plan to drain enough coolant out of the system to avoid a large coolant spill.
Designed to fit original cast iron generator bracket which has an inside dimension of 5 1/4". |

| This kit was easy to install and fit very well on my 55. The instructions were fairly simple to understand and follow as well. Looks and charges great!
Also note, it IS positive ground. |
